final

Discribe: In this series of photos the model is posing in a casual way and the pictures are up close so that the focus is on the model. the three photos are figurative and the backround ads to the beauty of the photos.
Analyze: There are many shapes created with the three pictures esspecially in the third photo becasue her hair adds a lot of shape to the photo. The images are all in focus so that you can clearly see the model, and he shapes created. The photos were in focus intentionally.
Judge: this work was sucssesul because the photographers theme was seen through the images.

5 Interesting Facts about Photography

1. In the 1840-60s people didn't smile because of the amount of time it took to expose the picture, if the subject moved/smiled/blink, the picture would be blurry. (Up to 20 minutes.)

2. The length of exposure time caused some photographers to put neck braces to clamp the subject's head and neck into place. Or a hand bracing a child's head or holding them still. (the photographers tried to keep thoes out of the picture.)

3. Some of the chemicals used in development were mercury, silver, nitrate, lye etc. The photographers would be chemicaly poisoned. Over a long period of time, the metals would build up in the photographer's system that lead to madness or death.

4. President James Polk (1845-49)was the 1st President to have his photograph taken.

5. Carmen Dell'orefice was the 1st supermodel to be photographed.

Ted Talks

The Three Ted Talks that I watched were:

Marco Tempest: The magic of truth and lies (and iPods)

this ted talk was really interesting because the speaker used three iPods during his speech. The three iPods each using the same application helped him present his idea about lies, one thing that I found interesting was that men lie twice as much as women do. Another thing that i found quite interesting was that the brain can trick itself that what is a lie, is the truth. Gamblers trick there self into thinking that they can win, when in fact there aren't taking into consideration how many times they have lost.

Keith Barry does brain magic

this Ted talk was about how our brain can trick our body. This was extremely interesting because the tricks he did were really amazing. He was able to see thru someone else's eyes, he did this by driving in a car with another person but that person was wearing a blindfold, he then stopped then put the blindfold on and began to drive he personally could not see but he was able to see by looking thru the other persons eyes  that was sitting next to him. He also did some tricks by using three different peoples energy to perform different tricks.

Series Photos Assignment: Fashion Shoot

For my Series Photo Assignment, I choose to do fashion. I selected four different outfits and created a selection of Photos. I personally love fashion, and putting together the outfits was my favorite part of the shoot. I kept in mind wile piking out the outfits what I wanted the mood to be. In every picture I used my sister as the model, each picture is figurative and she is close to the camera to keep the focus on the clothing. I feel that these pictures are great because my intention is easily read.

Our choice assignment

Describe: In this photo we see the bottom half of the model, to create emphasis on the shoes and the color of the shoes, and the red of the curb. The objects are close to the camera and the shadow created on the left side added a cool element to the picture. Analyze: The Shapes created is two parallel lines and the angle of the photo creates elongated lines for the legs. The image is figurative. Interpret: The image is somewhat dark to create a calm effect witch is easy on the eyes. This was taken outside, near the curb to get the color red of the curb in the photo. The photo was successful.
